A long expsoure image of Sierra Nevada Rock at Portsea Back Beach.
The rock was named after the ill-fated sailing ship Sierra Nevada that drifted onto a reef in rough weather and broke apart in the surf at Portsea in May 1900. Twenty three crew members died in the tragedy.
